labour of love

For those of you who thought art homework was a chore, check out James Pepper, author of The Pepper Bible. He has spent 18 years copying out the bible by hand as an illuminated manuscript, just like the old monks used to do!

You can have a look at his project here.

new web bible study

For those of you out there who are wanting to go a bit deeper with your bible study and quiet times, or maybe you never know where to start and could do with some ideas... you'll be pleased to know that ex-Cliff tutor and all-time Old Testament guru Paul Ashby has started an online devotional/bible study website prayerandbiblestudy.com.

There's a reading and thought for everyday packed with loads of juicy little bits of info on the bible, thoughts of what it means to us today and a few ideas for how to get real with God and live our faith. We love it and hope that you do too!

aqa

What do you want to know?

Well with AQA - Any Questions Answered - you can get any question, any time answered! You text your question to 63336. It can be anything from 'What is the capital of Turkmenistan?' to "What shall i have for dinner?'

It's Sunday afternoon here and we have just asked 'What shall we do this afternoon?' It recommended a walk in the country, nice. We were tempted to text back, 'But I'm in prison...' but we thought that at 50p-a-go (so watch out) we'd just chuckle to ourselves.

Check out here for more info.

****UPDATE**** The AQA website says it's £1 a go, unlike the magazine article we read that said 50p. We think the website is probably the correct one so be careful with the phone bills!

planning!

Well folks, we're pleased to say area 51 planning is well and truely underway! We had a meeting at Cliff this weekend and we are all v excited about what we have in store for you guys. The theme for the week is 'chosen' and we'll be running the afternoon drop-in sesh and the evening area 51 sesh again like we did last year.

The team willl be slightly different this year with a few new faces and, of course, we'll have a few new cliff students hanging out with us as well.

If you've not booked in yet, get going! We're going to have a great time and we don't want you to miss out!
